Dr. Said Mohamed has over 14 years experience as a registered medical practitioner in the Republic of Kenya. He has served for the County Government of Mombasa managing community health clinics and services for the benefit of the less-privileged and he continues to work closely with the less-privileged communities in Mombasa, Kenya.
Dr. Said has served as the Senior Medical Officer in charge of Oncology at the Coast General Hospital’s Cancer Unit, as the Medical Officer in charge of the Kaderbhai Community Clinic and as the Medical Officer and Assistant Director of Medical Services at the Tudor Sub-county Hospital in the coastal city of Mombasa, Kenya.
His medical expertise and proven experience spans general practitioner services, internal medicine, paediatrics, surgery and obstetrics & gynaecology. He has also worked in accident and emergency as well as in ICU services.
A well-respected community figure and leader, Dr. Said regularly lectures on health, water and sanitation issues on radio and social media and provides low-cost medical services for those who cannot afford the same.
Dr. Said studied at the Wroclaw Medical University in Poland and is currently enrolled at the University of Alexandria in Egypt to pursue his post-graduate degree on internal medicine.
